Beijing rail transit new airport line phase I project to achieve the full line of long rail link

Beijing rail transit construction and management co LTD said on May 24 that the first phase of the new airport line has been completed, and it is expected to begin commissioning work on all high-speed trains in mid-june.

According to the relevant person in charge of Beijing railway construction company, the first phase of the new airport line is 41.36 kilometers long, including 23.65 kilometers of underground line and u-shaped groove, and 17.71 kilometers of elevated and subgrade sections. The line passes through fengtai district, daxing district, a total of three stations, from north to south successively for caoqiao station, cigezhuang station and north terminal station, set up cigezhuang depot.

The line will be transferred at caoqiao station to line 10, which is already in operation, and line 19, which is under construction. Transfer between cigezhuang station and the planned Beijing suburban railway line S6 is realized. In the north terminal station and the planning of R4 line, beijing-xiong inter-city transfer.

According to the plan, the new airport line will extend about 3.5 kilometers from caoqiao station to lize business district, transfer with metro line 14, line 16 and line 11 under construction, and set up a city terminal in the north area of lize business district to provide check-in and baggage checking services.

In terms of station construction, the three stations of the new airport line have been fully capped and are undergoing renovation and equipment installation. Among them, caoqiao station has completed 40%, cigezhuang station and the new airport north terminal station has completed 80%. At present, the new airport line is undergoing the second phase of bullet train commissioning, which has entered the equipment decoration and installation stage, and is expected to enter the full line of bullet train commissioning in mid-june.

Mr Liu said the new airport line would use vehicles with the highest speeds currently available on the mainland's urban rail transit system. Designed with a top speed of 160 kilometers per hour, it takes only 19 minutes to travel from caoqiao to Beijing daxing international airport.
