The third section of the first phase of line 2 of luoyang metro will be opened

On the morning of July 18, mudan no. 16 shield tunneling machine broke through the ground at the citizen's home station, marking the smooth opening of the shield tunnel from the sports center station of the first phase of luoyang metro line 2 project to the right line of the citizen's home station.

The total length of the tunnel is about 903 meters. The mudan 16 shield tunneling machine started on April 20 this year. After nearly 100 days of continuous operation, the tunneling task was successfully completed, and a total of 603 pieces of ring pipe were assembled. The construction of left-line shield tunnel in this area is being accelerated. Mudan no. 23 shield tunneling machine has completed the tunneling of 156 meters and the assembly of 104 rings of pipe segments. It is planned to realize the double-line tunnel access between this area by the end of August this year.

So far, the construction of the first phase of metro line 2 is progressing smoothly, with the envelope of 15 stations across the line about 96% of the total completed. The earthwork excavation and transportation construction of foundation pit in all stations is about 95% of the total. The construction of the main structure of all stations is about 70% of the total, among which 9 stations have been capped. About 19% of the total construction of the shield tunnel has been completed, and about 5 kilometers of tunneling has been completed.
