Shanghai, Aug. 24 (xinhua) -- the first domestically made large-diameter mud and water balance shield machine "jiangpu" entered Shanghai on Aug. 24 and started its construction smoothly. This equipment is jointly developed by China railway construction heavy industry and Shanghai foundation company, and has completely independent intellectual property rights. The excavation diameter of the equipment reaches 11.63m, the total weight is about 1900t, and the installed power is 3661kW.

In addition, the equipment innovatively designs a material transportation system with tube segments and box culverts working together with common rail lifting, which not only guarantees the reliability of material transportation, but also improves the adaptability of the supporting trolley to ultra-high box culverts and restricted starting space.

According to the introduction of the project construction unit, jiangpu road crossing the river tunnel project in response to the national call to support the "big country heavy machine", this shield machine compared to the original Shanghai renmin road crossing the river tunnel, longyao road crossing the river tunnel used in the promotion of the whole import shield machine, no matter from the thrust, torque, degree of automation are better.

Shanghai jiangpu road cross-river tunnel is scheduled to be completed and open to traffic in 2020. After completion, it will meet the needs of the northern region of Shanghai to cross the river, support the development of the riverside area, and promote the integration of the two sides of the huangpu river.
