The second-phase rectangular shield section of Ningbo metro line 2 is fully connected

On September 17, the rectangular shield machine "yangming" successfully passed through zhenhai old town and broke through the earth at zhaibaoshan station, which marked the completion of the 2.2 km long rectangular shield section of the second phase of ningbo metro line 2. The second phase of line 2 has become the longest line of ningbo rail transit under construction with rectangular shield technology.

"Yangming" successfully passed through zhenhai old city

The second phase of line 2 starts from qingshuipu station at the end of the first phase, connects linjiang area and zhenhai old town in the southeast direction, and goes through yongjiang river to beilun xiaogang area and stops at honglian station. With a total length of about 8.48 km, there are five stations, namely wulipai station, fengyuan station, congyuan road station, zhaobaoshan station and honglian station.

In order to solve the problem of small underground space in zhenhai old town, the second underground section of line 2 adopts rectangular shield construction. In November 2017, "yangming" started from the second phase of line 2 and proceeded all the way to wulipai station -- fengyuan station area (underground section), fengyuan station -- congyuan road station area, and congyuan road station -- zhaobaoshan station area.

The second phase of line 2 will be opened in two sections. The first section of qingshuipu station -- congyuan road station was "dongtong" in December last year. At present, mechanical and electrical equipment installation and station decoration construction are in full progress, which is planned to open in 2020.
