Recently, the shield tunneling of the left section between Yantong Park Station and Cuihu Station of Kunming Metro Line 5 started smoothly, marking the construction of the left section of the tunnel between Yantong Park Station and Cuihu Station of Kunming Metro Line 5 contracted by China Railway 18 Bureau 4 Company.
The left line between Yantong Park Station and Cuihu Station is 1017.64 meters long, with a depth of 20 meters to 52 meters. The tunnel is located in the center of Kunming, with numerous houses and complicated geological conditions within the construction area, and it goes through kunming Zoo, Yantong Temple and other public activity areas. The shield tunneling machine will be constructed from Cuihu station along Huashan West Road, down through many buildings, water supply, drainage, urban lighting and other complex pipelines, to the Yuandong Mountain mine section, which will be received by the mine section in the shaft. A total of 849 rings of pipe pieces will be assembled.
It is understood that the shield tunneling No.1 is 80m long, 500T heavy and 6480mm in diameter.
