The left line of Ganlu interval tunnel in the northern extension of Chongqing Metro Line 5 is completed

On December 10, the left line of the tunnel between Ganyue Avenue station and Lujiagou Station (hereinafter referred to as "Ganlu Section") of the northern extension section of Chongqing Metro Line 5 was successfully completed, 20 days ahead of schedule.

The ganlu interval tunnel has a total length of 512 meters, and the thinnest part of the vault rock layer is only 3.1 meters. The construction is risky and difficult, and it is the latest interval tunnel under full construction.

The construction unit of the north extension section of Line 5 optimized the construction organization, significantly improved the work efficiency, and achieved the highest score of 138 meters per month. On the premise of "zero accidents" in production safety and "zero defects" in engineering quality, the construction task was completed ahead of schedule, laying a foundation for the early opening to traffic.

The north extension section of line 5 is located in gubeibei district, liangjiang new district. The line is 8.64 kilometers long, with 7 stations and 1 parking lot. After completion, the project will be connected with the first phase of line 5 to form a north-south backbone channel connecting dadukou district, jiulongpo district, shapingba district, yuzhong district, jiangbei district and Yubei District, which is of great significance to relieve the north-south passenger flow pressure of rail transit network and optimize urban residential and traffic travel.
