The wuhan Metro No.5 shield with three marks was completed

On December 14, at the foot of The Yellow Crane Tower in Wuhan, "Linjiang No. 2" knife plate broke through the ground. By then, the third standard of Wuhan Metro Line 5 had been received for 8 times from the 8th start, 8 tunnels in 4 sections were completed, and the right line of shield between Pengliu Yang Road station and Simen Gate Station was successfully completed.

The wuhan Metro Line 5 project consists of 6 stations and 4 sections, with a total length of 3.67 km. The starting point is located at the intersection of Fuxing Road and The second Ring Viaduct in Wuchang District, and along Fuxing Road goes north through Zhangzhidong Road, Pengliuyang Road, Ramp Bridge of Yangtze River Bridge, Yellow Crane Tower scenic spot, Beijing-Guangzhou Railway, Minzhu Road, Shantytown of Shengqiao, along the main road of Heping Avenue, and finally reaches The Jiyuqiao Station.

The tunnel area is complicated and varied in geology, with uneven soft and hard strata, silty clay, moderately weathered rock strata, and developed karst caves. The project department optimized the plan, implemented it accurately, checked it by experts, and formulated special measures of safety and efficiency to ensure the smooth and safe construction. Since the first launch of "Linjiang No.1" shield tunneling machine on March 16, 2019, the shield tunneling machine has passed through numerous risks such as high-rise buildings, municipal tunnel foundation pit under construction, shantytown houses in the 1950s and 1960s, and subway Line 2 in operation, after one year and nine months.
