The first shield section of Kunshan Railway S1 crossing through two lines

On December 16, the shield interval between Jinshajiang Road station and Dongting Lake Road Station of The S1 rail line was completed, making it the first shield interval of the S1 rail line to connect two lines.

At the end of October, the shield of the left line of the S1 line between Jinshajiang Road station and Dongting Lake Road Station was successfully completed. After nearly 50 days of day and night work, the shield of the right line between Jinshajiang Road Station and Dongting Lake Road Station was also successfully completed. With the completion of the two sections, the construction of hand-hole joint in the tunnel (pipe segment) will be carried out next, and the construction of the tunnel connection channel will be carried out in early January 2021.

The 41.25-kilometer line S1 is underground, with 28 stations. Up to now, one station is under construction of underground diaphragm wall, 18 stations are in the stage of foundation pit excavation and subsequent main structure construction, and 9 stations have completed the capping of main structure. The full line is scheduled for trial operation in 2023.
