The first shield tunneling machine in the Zhangzhou extension section of Xiamen Metro Line 6 started smoothly

On May 20, with the rumbling sound, the shield tunneling machine dressed in "red" slowly moved forward, and the first shield tunneling machine "Longjiang No. 1" started smoothly at Guishan Station of Zhangzhou Taiwan Investment Zone. It marks the Zhangzhou (Jiaomei) extension section of Xiamen Metro Line 6, entering the period of comprehensive accelerated development, and the urban development of Xiamen and Zhangzhou has stepped forward a solid step.

According to the person in charge of the project, a total of 6 shield tunneling machines were launched this year. The "Longjiang No. 1" shield machine will take the right route to cross Huzhong Road, Huatian Meishi Park and other places, with a total length of about 789 meters. It is planned to reach the Jiaojiang Road Station by the end of August this year. Next, another shield machine will be launched, which will enter the site at the end of May and continue from the left line to reach the interval from Guishan Station to Jiaojiang Road Station. It is planned to be completed in the middle of October this year.

It is understood that Xiamen Metro Line 6 Zhangzhou (Jiaomei) extension project is the first metro project in Zhangzhou, with a total length of 9.86 kilometers and a total investment of about 8.407 billion yuan. The project started construction on December 26, 2019.

The project consists of 7 stations, which are Longjiang Mingzhu Station, Shimei Station, Jiaojiang Road Station, Guishan Station, Wenpu Road Station, Jiaohai Road Station and Shetou Station, all of which are laid underground. Among them, Zhangzhou 8.2 km, Xiamen 1.6 km (from the Lin Taixi to the junction of the United States). The line starts from Longjiang Mingzhu Station, Zhangzhou Taiwan Investment Zone, and ends at Lin Daixi Station (excluding), the starting point of Xiamen Metro Line 6 Phase I Project. At present, the construction of the 3 bidding sections of 7 stations have been started, the whole line has been basically completed.

It is reported that the Zhangzhou (Angle of the United States) extension project seamlessly connected to Xiamen City Rail Transportation Line 6, is the new channel after Xiamen Zhangzhou City Avenue, connecting Xiamen Zhangzhou two places, which is to accelerate the integration of Zhangzhou into the overall situation of the coordinated development of southwest Fujian, to create Xiamen Zhangzhou half an hour economic life circle, has a milestone significance.
