Two TBM tunnels in Shanwu section of Qingdao Metro Line 8 were opened
After receiving the first dual-mode TBM on May 22, Qingdao Metro Line 8 received the good news on May 31 -- the second dual-mode TBM tunnel was successfully received, marking the smooth completion of the dual-mode TBM tunnel in the Shan-5 section (South Shandong Road Station to Wushu Square Station).
The buried depth of the TBM tunnel is 24.8-35.5 meters and the length of the tunnel is 890 meters. It is mainly located under Shandong Road and passes through Minjiang Road to Jiangxi Road and other major roads. It is connected to the large section of the stop line in Shanwu Area.
The line runs through many risk sources such as power supply, rainwater, gas pipeline and underground passageway, and the geological conditions are complicated. Crossing the six water-rich fault fracture zone, hard surrounding rock, high uniaxial compressive strength and frequent tool change and other adverse factors, all become the "tiger in the road" in the construction process, construction safety risk is large, difficult.
In the face of difficulties, Qingdao Metro invited well-known domestic experts to "consult" and carried out "desktop deduction" for the existing risks. During the construction process, the digital platform was used to monitor the safety, quality, progress and risk of the site 24 hours a day, continuously optimize the TBM tunneling parameters and timely control the surface subsidence data. It lays a solid foundation for the smooth connection of TBM tunnel.
The southern section of Line 8, with a total length of 13.1 km, has 8 stations. The civil works are being carried out in full force. At present, the southern section of Yan, the southern section of Nanjia and the five sections of Shan have been completed.
