Shanghai "two Hong Kong express" concept of special planning
Planning is under way for a Shanghai metropolitan line from pudong hub and Shanghai East Railway Station to Lingang Open Area. It is the Two Port Express project. Recently, the special planning of the two - Hong Kong Express line (Pudong hub - Lingang Open area station) has been approved.
The first phase of the project plans to set up 6 stations
What is a "municipal line"?
The so-called "urban line" refers to a kind of rail transit system between the intercity railway and the urban subway. The total length of single line is generally longer than the subway line, but shorter than the intercity railway line. It mainly drives the linkage between the central urban area and the satellite towns and between the satellite towns. Urban lines require higher speeds than metro lines, but don't necessarily have the tight departure intervals of metro lines.
The planned urban railway express line is a fast link between lingang new area and Pudong hub, Hongqiao hub and Shanghai main city. To jointly build a backbone channel in the city with the airport connection line is conducive to improving the external transportation accessibility and radiation capability of the new ZONE.
Scope of implementation of The First phase of The Two-Port Express Line (tentative name) : it starts from Pudong Hub Terminal 3 and Shanghai East Railway Station in the north, and runs through the connection line between Terminal 3 and the municipal railway airport, and reaches the central activity area of Lingang New area in the south, with a total length of about 35 kilometers and 6 stations.
At the end of April this year, the Municipal Transportation Commission has made public the special planning (draft) for the selection of the two - Hong Kong Express line. It shows that, as an express link between Lingang new area and Pudong hub, Hongqiao hub and Shanghai main city, the two port Express line is an important support for lingang new area to radiates to the Yangtze River Delta, and helps the new Area to realize the function of an international open hub connecting inside and outside, land, sea and air.
The first phase of the Two - Hong Kong Express line (Pudong Hub - Lingang Open Area station), with a total length of about 35 km. According to the plan, the line starts from the Pudong hub in the north and ends at the central activity area of Lingang New Area in the south.
The two express lines connect pudong Hub Terminal 3 and Shanghai East Railway Station respectively in the north, connecting Shanghai East Railway Station with Shanghai-Connect Railway and East-West link (rail link), and connecting airport link at TERMINAL 3.
There are two branches at the northern end of the line
At the northern end of this line, there are two branches: one leads from terminal 3, turns south along Lianggang Avenue, turns east at Dongda Road, turns south at Qiaojiang Road, and enters the central activity area of Lingang New Area; The other line leads from Shanghai East Railway Station and connects to Xiayan Road station along the south side of Shenjiahu Expressway.
Shanghai East Railway Station, T3 Terminal station, Xiayan Road Station, Dongda Road station, Lingang Comprehensive District station and Lingang Open District station are set up on the whole line (station names are all temporary).
The project set up a salt highway vehicle base (shared with the airport liaison line). The whole line is equipped with one main substation (110kV), which is located in the southwest of Xianyan Road station. Set up one transformer and distribution station (35K V), located in the southwest of dongda Road station.
The main laying mode of the Two-Port Express line is controlled by overhead, and the station between T3 Terminal station and Shenjiahu Expressway, the southern section of lianggang Avenue overpass and the station between Qiaojiang Road and Lingang Open area is controlled by underground. The stations along the line are all ground stations except T3 Terminal station, Lingang Comprehensive area station and Lingang Open Area station.
