At present, the installation length of submarine tunnel sinking pipe reaches 4372.8 meters

On July 24, Guangdong Communications Group announced that after the completion of the sinking of the 9th tube section (E24) on the east side of the Shenzhongdao immersed tube tunnel on July 22, the 19th tube section (E19) on the west side of the tunnel also took root in the sea during the same construction window period. So far, the installation length of the submerged pipe of the project undersea tunnel reaches 4372.8 meters.

Shenzhong Tunnel is a cross-sea cluster project integrating "bridge, island, tunnel and underwater communication". The length of the undersea tunnel is 6,845 meters, including 5,035 meters of immersed tube section, which is composed of 32 pipe sections and one final joint. It is the world's first bi-directional eight-lane steel-shell concrete immersed tube tunnel. E19 section is a standard section with a length of 165 meters and a weight of about 80,000 tons.

It is understood that under the influence of the third typhoon "Siamba" this year and continuous heavy rainfall in flood season, the project decided to share the same construction window period for E19 and E24 pipe sections under the condition of ensuring production safety and taking into account the overall schedule. In March this year, the project was the first in the world to sink two pipe segments in the same window. The Shenzhong Channel Management Center comprehensively coordinated maritime authorities and all construction parties to organize and schedule the E19 pipeline in a scientific and orderly manner. After successfully completing the docking of E24 pipeline in the east, the E19 pipeline will be transported and sunk immediately.

At 15:40 on July 22, the integrated vessel "Yi Hangjin 'an 1" towed E19 pipe section officially set sail. Under the escort of Guangdong Maritime department, the project made scientific use of DP automatic tracking navigation, visual navigation recorder and other functions of the integrated ship to transport the pipe section to the sinking and releasing water area at 4:30 on 23rd. After sinking and releasing, pulling and hydraulic pressure joining and other processes, the docking of E19 pipe section was completed at 15:30 that day.

At 8 o 'clock on the 24th, it was confirmed by through-through measurement that the absolute and relative installation deviations of E19 pipe section met the requirements of design and inspection standards. The project plans to complete the sinking installation of three more sections within this year.

At present, shenzhen-Zhong channel island tunnel project, bridge project double - line progress. On the artificial island, construction of the tunnel structure on the east artificial Island is in full swing, and construction of the main ramp tunnel on the west artificial Island is under way. A total of 28 pipe segments were sunk in the immersed tube tunnel. In terms of bridge engineering, zhongshan Bridge has been closed and construction of road surface and auxiliary facilities is under way. Lingdingyang Bridge is expected to complete the erection of the main cable stock within this year. The project is scheduled for completion in 2024.
