Beijing Metro "New Airport Line" speeds up Construction
Beijing's new airport subway line is the fastest designed rail line in China. Recently, the railway station design effect map for the first time released.
The Beijing New Airport Line is China's first subway line with a maximum speed of 160 kilometers per hour. The first phase of the project currently under construction passes through Fengtai District and Daxing District of Beijing with a total length of 41.36 kilometers. There are 3 stations in Caoqiao, Cigezhuang and the North Terminal of the new airport. The line forms a transfer between Caoqiao Station and the existing Line 10 and Line 19 under construction.
According to the plan, the new airport line will also extend northwards at Caoqiao Station to the Lize Business District, set up an aviation service building in the Lize Business District, and transfer with the subway lines 14 and 16 under construction. In the future, when passengers ride in the air service building, they can check in and check their luggage in advance.
So far, the first phase of the new airport line project, the Magezhuang Station and the North Terminal Station, have achieved the capping of the main structure, and the Caoqiao Station is also accelerating construction. The first phase of the project is expected to be synchronized with the use of the new airport in September 2019. By then, passengers will be sitting on the new line from Caoqiao to the new airport in just 19 minutes.
