The east section of the North transverse passage of the super large shield tunnel "Crossbar" is planned to be connected with the main line structure by the end of this year
The eastern section of the North Cross Passage project under construction has completed an important node target today - with the 15-meter super large shield "vertical and horizontal" slowly entering the hole, marking the successful completion of the new North Cross Passage project Ⅷ.
Section VIII of the new North Cross Passage Project is invested and constructed by Shanghai City Investment Highway (Group) Co., LTD., and jointly constructed by Shanghai Tunnel Engineering Co., LTD and Shanghai City Construction Municipal Engineering (Group) Co., LTD. The section includes two sections: Huangxing Road well - Yangshupu port well, Yangshupu port well - Anguo Road well, with a total length of 2842 meters.
The "Vertical and Horizontal" shield started in Huangxing Road Well in December 2021, and arrived at Yangshupu Port receiving well in July 2022. After a short rest, in September 2022, the "Vertical and horizontal" shield started twice, and successfully completed the final goal of digging the Yangshupu port well - Anguo Road well section today.
In the busy downtown area of the underground crossing, the building structure and pipeline density become the difficulty of shield crossing. From November 18, 2022 to November 21, 2022, the "Vertical and Horizontal" shield penetrated rail transit Line 18 in operation, and finally promoted 21 rings to complete the crossing within 65 hours, creating the record of the smallest process of rail transit deformation caused by crossing since the construction of the North cross passage.
From April 19 to April 24, 2023, the shield successfully crossed rail transit Line 4 again at the intersection of Zhoujiazui Road and Baoding Road, and obtained the minimum of the four items of the national 15-meter shield underpass rail transit: the minimum clear distance, the largest slope, the sharpest curve and the minimum Angle. At that time, the "Vertical and Horizontal" crossed the rail transit line 4 with a total of 28 loops and a crossing length of 56 meters, which was the longest construction distance of the North cross Passage under the rail transit line. Through careful planning, the project construction team successfully controlled the crossing within the crossing window specified by the rail transit operator, ensuring the safety of subway operation.
The total length of the new construction of the North cross passage is about 19.1 km. Among them, the underground tunnel section is about 14.7 kilometers long, the western section of the tunnel is 7.8 kilometers long, and the eastern section of the tunnel is 6.9 kilometers long. According to reports, the eastern section of the north cross passage is currently mainly in the shield to promote, the two shield machine "Jiangong" and "Crossbar" are "advancing" as planned, after the "Crossbar" completes the digging task, "Jiangong" also plans to enter the Anguo road well at the end of July, and "Crossbar". "At present, 90% of the main line shield of the eastern section of the North Cross Passage has been completed, and 60% of the open-cut section has been completed. It is expected that the main line structure of the eastern section will be connected by the end of this year, laying the foundation for the completion and opening to traffic in the first half of next year."
