Hangzhou Zhonghuan underpass Hanghui Yunxi tunnel officially opened to traffic

On the afternoon of July 3, Hangzhou Zhonghuan underpass Hangzhou Hui Yunxi Tunnel ushered in the official opening. The project, with a total length of 2.528 kilometers, including surface roads and Yunxi tunnels, is an important part of the road network structure in the central and western parts of Yuhang District and one of the road networks in the Hangzhou metropolitan area.

The Hanghui project may not seem long, but it crosses four major engineering nodes: Metro Line 16, Hanghui Expressway, Courtyard Deep Community and Jiangjiatan River Bridge. The construction site of the project is small and the surrounding environment is more complicated, which brings no small difficulty to the project. The project construction team has continuously overcome difficulties such as difficult construction and tight construction time, and promoted the completion and opening of the project on schedule while ensuring safety and quality.

After the Yunxi tunnel project is opened to traffic, vehicles heading north to Xianlin, Zhongtai and Fuyang can enter the Yunxi Tunnel for fast passage, while vehicles heading south to Future Science and Technology City, Panyao, Liangzhu and Renhe can enter the Yunxi viaduct directly after passing through the tunnel. At the same time, the passage of the ground road will also become smoother, which greatly improves the travel convenience of the surrounding people.

As an important project to open up the Hangzhou-Hui expressway node in Hangzhou Central, this project provides strong support for the realization of the function of the Hangzhou metropolitan area road network. While improving traffic congestion, providing travel convenience for the public, and ensuring the smooth passage of the Hangzhou Asian Games road, the Hangzhou Hui Project will continue to expand the space for urban development through the south planning "Central" Sino-Thai section, and become an important link and channel for the economic development of southern Yuhang, play a vital role in the urban development and construction of Yuhang region, and help the construction of Hangzhou's new urban center.
