All 6 shield tunneling machines in Hebei section of Beijing Rail Transit Line 22 have been excavated
On December 15, the last shield tunneling machine "Endeavour" in the Hebei section of Beijing Rail Transit Line 22 (Pinggu Line) started smoothly at Chaobai Street station, marking that all six shield tunneling machines in the Hebei section entered the digging state.
Beijing Rail transit Line 22 (Pinggu Line) has a total length of about 81.2 kilometers, which is divided into Beijing section and Hebei section, of which the Hebei section has a total length of about 30 kilometers and a total of 5 stations. The "Endeavour" shield that started this time is 109 meters long, 8.29 meters in diameter and weighs more than 1,400 tons, and will be digging in the same direction with the "Cangtong" shield machine on the right line to jointly complete the excavation task of the 5039 meters shield section of Chaobai Street Station - High-rise Station.
As a landmark line of "Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei on track", Beijing Rail Transit Line 22 (Pinggu Line) is the first inter-provincial urban rail transit line in Beijing-Hebei. At present, the Hebei section has entered the full shield tunneling construction stage. After the completion of the project, it will take only 9 minutes from Sanhe City of Langfang, Hebei Province to Beijing City sub-center, and the shortest time to reach Beijing East Bridge station is about 32 minutes. Beijing's central city, sub-center, Pinggu District and Sanhe City in Hebei will realize rapid rail transit connectivity, greatly narrowing the spatial and temporal distance between Beijing and Hebei, and greatly improving the travel efficiency of cross-provincial commuters.
