Taizhou Jiefang Road cross-river tunnel has officially entered the physical construction stage

On March 1, on the construction site of Jiefang Road crossing the River tunnel project, there was a hot scene, with all kinds of machinery and equipment arranged neatly and ready to go. With the rumbling mechanical sound, the first steel cage of the ground connecting wall of the Jiangbei starting section of the Jiefang Road Crossing River Tunnel and the South Connection Project (Phase I) smoothly entered the trough, marking that the project officially entered the physical construction stage of the project.

The underground diaphragm wall is an important part of the enclosure structure, which mainly supports the soil and prevents it from overturning, and provides a safe construction environment for personnel and equipment. The first steel cage of Jiangbei starting well is 36.7m long, 5.969m wide and weighs 55 tons. It is completed by 350 tons crawler crane main crane and 200 tons crawler crane auxiliary crane.

Because the project is located in the soft soil layer, the construction of the ground wall trough is difficult. In order to ensure the quality of the trough, we deployed in advance, prepared in multiple directions and measures, organized technical personnel to fully study the characteristics of the formation before the trough, and repeatedly worked out the sequence combination of the trough to ensure that the first ground connecting wall entered the trough once.

As the first cross-river tunnel constructed in Taizhou, the Jiefang Road cross-River Tunnel project has a main line length of 4,220 meters, with a total investment of more than 4 billion yuan, and undertakes the historical mission of integrating the development of both sides of the river in tandem. After completion, the travel time on both sides of the Jiaojiang River will be shortened to 5 minutes.
