It is reported that this is the first construction of the ground connection wall of Taizhou Municipal Railway S2 Line (hereinafter referred to as "S2 line"), which marks the construction of the project began to enter the underground stage.

"The steel cage of the ground wall is 55 meters deep, 5 meters wide and 1.2 meters thick, which is the deepest steel cage in the whole line. It will take more than an hour for the steel cage to be successfully lowered into the geosyncline, after which workers will pour concrete on it." According to Hong Chao, deputy manager of the 4 standard project of S2 Line civil construction, the construction point is located in the S1-S2 contact line working well between Taizhou Station and Taizhou College station, and the construction of the ground connection wall marks that the working well has fully entered the construction stage of the envelope structure.

The S1-S2 working well is the key node of the whole line of the S2 line project of the municipal railway. The underground continuous wall is the enclosure structure of the shield working well, with a total of 70 pieces. The planned construction period of the working well of the liaison line is about 1 year. In the construction of rail transit, the underground diaphragm wall is used as the main enclosure structure of deep foundation pit, which undertakes the important tasks of retaining water, retaining soil and enhancing the stability of foundation pit.

S1-s2 connection line working well is located in Jinyang Wetland Park, the land is flat and open, the surface water system criss-cross, rivers are curved, the surface part is mainly composed of Marine clay, the lower part is widely distributed silt soil, so the construction is more difficult.

"In the early stage, we contacted the headquarters many times to move out the valuable greening in the wetland park, and then cleaned the silt at the site, hardened the construction road, and ensured the smooth entry of equipment." Hong Chao said that the construction of the entire 70 underground continuous walls is expected to take two and a half months to complete the lifting.

After the completion of the working well of the S1-S2 connection line, the shield tunneling machine will enter the excavation from here, and the S2 line and S1 line will be connected in series. After the completion of Line S2, it will form the backbone network of Taizhou urban rail transit together with Line S1, which is of great significance to promote the integration of "three districts and two cities", improve the urban comprehensive transportation system, and improve residents' travel conditions.

It is understood that since the full start of the S2 line project, up to now, 34 working faces such as elevated Bridges, elevated stations, mountain tunnels, field works and shield working Wells have been fully rolled out, and the investment amount of 2.085 billion yuan has been completed from January to June 2024, and 4,856 pile foundations, 299 bearing platforms, 223 pier columns and 17 beams have been completed throughout the line.
