Zhou-deng Express Road is officially under construction, which will provide fast access to Shanghai East Railway Station and Pudong Airport Terminal 3

According to the Pudong New Area Information Office, the Zhou-Deng Express Road, which provides fast access to Shanghai East Railway Station and T3 terminal of Pudong Airport, has officially started construction and is expected to be completed by the end of 2026. Zhou-deng Expressway project starts from S3 west Zhouyuan Road in the west to G1503 in the east, with a total length of 17.2 kilometers. Along the project, Zhoupu Town, Kangqiao Town, Chuansha Town, Zhuqiao Town, is an important part of the system connection of Pudong Hub, which will guarantee the traffic function of Pudong Hub and improve the external communication channel of Pudong Hub. Zhou-deng Expressway adopts the scale arrangement of elevated bidirectional 6 lanes + ground side roads bidirectional 6 lanes. A total of 8 pairs of parallel on-ramp entrances are set along the expressway, which are located on the west side of Kangxin Highway, the east side of Shenjiang Road, the west side of Liufeng Highway, the east side of Nanliu Highway, both sides of Chuansha Road, Lingkong Road west side and the west side of Chuannan Feng Highway. Important nodes include the transformation of the interchange of S2 and S3 hubs and the "Yuanrong Bridge" node of Pudong Canal Bridge.

Zhou-deng Expressway is of great significance to perfect and enhance the function of Shanghai urban skeleton road network and to perfect the high-speed road network structure in Pudong central region. At the same time, it is also an important guarantee for the road network of the southern area of Disney and international tourism resort, which helps to improve the communication between Zhuqiao, Chuansha, Zhoupu, Kangqiao and other market towns and the central city, and build the east-west passenger corridor of the central area of Pudong.

The construction of Zhou-Deng Expressway will realize the integration of Shanghai East Railway Station and the urban area. Starting from Shanghai East Railway Station, it only takes 30 minutes to reach the urban center of Pudong New Area.
