China's first high-speed rail tunnel across the Qiantang River has arrived

On December 1, with the cutter head of the ultra-large diameter shield machine with a diameter of 14.9 meters successfully down the well, the installation work of the "Qiantang" shield unit of the Qiantang River Tunnel of Hangzhou Xiaoshan Airport Line constructed by the 14th Bureau of China Railway was basically completed, and the shield of the first high-speed railway tunnel across the Qiantang River in China entered the "countdown".

On the morning of the same day, the cutterhead of the "Qiantang" shield machine, painted with the surging Qiantang River and the flying high-speed rail pattern, lifted from the ground and slowly "stood", completed the "air rotation", accurately dropped to the predetermined position of the starting well, and accurately "merged" with the shield machine.

It is reported that the "Qiantang" shield machine is 145 meters in length, weighing about 4,000 tons, and the final assembly has reached the world advanced level, and the lifting of the cutter head under the well is the most important part of the hoisting and assembly stage of the entire shield machine, and the weight of the atmospheric compound cutter head is about 350 tons.

In order to ensure the smooth "integration" of the "Qiantang" shield machine, the project team scientifically deployed and advanced planning, formulated the cutter hoisting plan in detail, conducted several hoisting simulations, conducted hoisting safety training and technical communication for management personnel at all levels, and ensured the precise docking of the cutter head and shield body.

After the completion of the project, Hangzhou Xiaoshan International Airport will become a large-scale integrated transportation hub "from heaven to earth", which is of great significance to promote the higher quality integrated development of the Yangtze River Delta.
