Initiated and organized by Beijing Shield Engineering Association, the China Shield Engineering Technology Academic seminar has been successfully held for four times in a biennial cycle, and has become a bellwether for the technological development of China's shield engineering industry. The 5th China Shield Tunneling and Underground Space Association (ITA) was specially invited as the guiding unit of the conference, which was co-sponsored by Beijing Shield Tunneling Association and Hangzhou Metro Group Co., LTD. The conference will be held in Hangzhou by the beautiful West Lake from November 13 to 15, 2020.

On November 12, at the construction site of guangzhou Metro Line 18, the "fastest subway" under construction in China, the "Tiebing no. 40" shield tunneling machine broke through the Pearl River, and the right line tunnel of Guangzhou Metro Line 18 under the Pearl River section, contracted by China Railway No.14 Bureau, was successfully completed.

Recently, wuhan Hydrangshan sewage pumping station and water inlet and outlet pipeline project have been successfully completed through Nanhu Tunnel. The main body and supporting facilities are expected to be completed by the end of June 2021, which will improve the sewage collection system in the southern area of Nanhu in Wuhan.

On the morning of November 2nd, the shield tunneling machine of "Chenggong" successfully arrived at the shield receiving well of the right line of Pengcuo North Station. As the longest shield tunnel section of Xiamen rail transit project at present, the shield tunneling section of Subway line 4 and the Shield tunneling section of Hongpeng metro line 4 was successfully completed.

Recently, the east extension section of Line 5 and Line 10, two new subway lines under construction in Guangzhou, entered the major project node. The first shield tunneling machine of the two lines respectively started and entered the interval tunnel construction stage.
