Zhengzhou Airport to Xuchang Municipal Railway 01 project was started in April 2018. It is divided into one station and two sections, with a total length of 3118.2m. The right line of the tunnel from the North station of the port area to the North Station of the airport is 1916.88m long, and the left line is 1883.731m long. According to the overall project planning, the company invested two composite earth-pressure balancing shield machines, both of which started from the shield well at the west end of the North Station of the port area and drove southward to the north end of the Airport North Station.
